“Why did you kill me, Dr. Nováček?”

Ahhh yesterday, something happened. Something happened when I went to sleep while thinking of these two sillies

Alright tldr, BunnyWynn is a new member of the faculty in a different department (I’m thinking of changing it from the economics department to biology for reasons). Viktor—who’s in mechanical engineering—has no reason to meet him but he did see him from a distance and felt that that rabbit was strange. Made him feel like something was wrong but he couldn’t really say why, because for all intents and purposes, Wynn acted the way anyone would expect a rabbit to act (there are stereotypes and what not in this world too, and people still think that herbivores tend to be shy and quiet)

They meet once by chance in the little forest behind the school cos that’s where viktor goes to work on his own relaxation projects (I like to think he makes moving toys and the like when he wants to unwind) and for some unknown reason Wynn was there. They exchanged a few words, Wynn said Vik’s invention was cool and then he left. The entire time before he came out until he left, Viktor’s instincts were UP. He was on edge and he’s got no idea why. I mean he’s a wolf and Wynn’s a rabbit. What danger could he be in?

And all that brings us to the moment in the forest OUTSIDE the city. A forest that most people don’t go to because of reasons, yet Viktor occasionally frequents. In that forest he thinks about things that everyone in the city tries to not think about. About animals. Not animal people like they are, but animals. Wolves, mice, lions. The animal people don’t like to think of them, and the forests near their city is maintained quite carefully so that animals don’t come too close to the city itself. Which is why he was very shocked at alert when he heard sounds there.

He should have left at that very moment. Turned his ass around and left, but he followed that sound. Alas, such is the allure of the forest. You lose yourself in it just a little when you go in there. He followed the sound, but it stopped and he assumed that it wasn’t anything important.

Until he smelled the undeniable scent of blood and gore.

In the dark forest, where things would be barely visible if it were not for the vision a wolf would have, Viktor saw something that he did not understand but knew to fear, despite being a wolf.

A new professor he met recently, eating a coyote. Wynn. Covered in blood, tearing flesh off the side of a dead animal.

That was the reason Viktor felt him to be so strange. There was always something wrong with the rabbit, but what a shit way to find out what it was. Wynn saw him, and asked him what in the world he was doing here. He was walking towards him, telling him that nobody comes to the forests, why would he ever come here. Viktor absolutely felt himself to be in danger. So much so that he forgot facts. Forgot the was a wolf, he was bigger, but remembered that he was not a very big wolf, and had a leg that evened out many advantages. So he did the only thing he could think to do, because a carnivorous rabbit with the most terrifying eyes he’s ever seen is walking towards him with an even more terrifying, SHARP smile. Once Wynn was in range, Vik swung his cane at his head with all the strength he could, and then ran as best as he could back to the single bus station that he took to get to the edge of town.

He did not know what happened after that, he was shaken, but once he was back home, he came to reckon the simple fact of the matter. He killed soemone. Wynn is a rabbit, a whole head shorter than him. Vik is a wolf, above all things. He swung with all his might and then some because of adrenaline. The damn cane broke. He hit him in the head. He’s dead. He’s dead. And this thought tormented him all through the long weekend.

The rabbit was dead, and Viktor killed him.
