Slowing Down, The Need For Desk Job
Added 2025-01-26 00:42:01 +0000 UTCBlue collar work is getting hard. I’m getting too out of shape to be one of the grunts too much longer. I’ve either got to get a heavy equipment operation license, or transition into an office job. Or, even better yet, a remote position. That’s what I need at this point, a place to park my wide ass all day, making money, the office fatty.
If it was remote, I’d be doomed. I’d never have an expectation to even leave the house. Who knows, I might end up stuck inside. The idea of not having to even put on pants to do my job is.. enticing.
It’s getting tough on my body, being so heavy and having to go on my hands and knees, crawling around, walking so much. It’s exhausting, and I’m not even that big.
It’s hard to eat enough in construction/plumbing, you have to wake up early and slam a quick breakfast, same with lunch. It’s not till dinner time I can put back a few thousand cals to make up for all the moving around I did. I need a change.
I want to wake up to big breakfasts, who cares if it makes me sluggish? Get me a reinforced desk chair and a corner office 😎

I am in the same boat man, ladders, tight spaces and I'm totally over it too.
