August Behind the Scenes

This one covers the latter half of July, too. Apologies for not having a chance to sit down and write it earlier—the Amazon debacle has been one hell of a time commitment.

Volume 4 Updates

Volume 4 is now registered with the US Copyright Office. That's a new one for us, but I'm desperate to see Amazon just push the eBook through.

In the meantime, here are a few of the final pieces of artwork included in the book:

New eBook Formatting

One of the biggest changes and shifts with going wide was changing the eBook formatting for every volume. I was previously using Atticus, a program meant to challenge Vellum, but I had a chance to use Vellum with one of my clients, and it's so much better. It has better layouts, better exports, and—most importantly—the ability to copy and paste from outside programs without destroying my formatting (like italics).

With the first three volumes, I found a lot of pages where the heading image (the dot graph) split into two pages and didn't look good for dark-mode readers. While I love all of the extra touches, if it's a pain to read, that's not good.

And, of course, the ebook versions still have the full-color protips at the end of each chapter!

I'll be formatting them this way from now on. Thanks to everyone who kept me company while I streamed reformatting the books and editing Volume 4.

Art Updates

The next tarot card I'll be posting is Judgement, featuring Melasia and Nehalennia. I've been looking forward to designing Nehalennia for some time now - she's overdue. WhiteCat was wonderful and helped me craft her appearance and her outfit.

We went with the middle design, as the thought of a San Island girl on the throne made sense with Cailu's initial plans for putting himself at the top.

All of the outfits she designed are stunning. I love the last one as an idea for her [Combat Mode] if needed.

The next card we're working on is The Sun, which features Saphira!

Outside of the Tarot set, the next NSFW art piece from AridanBlack will be of Portia!

Lastly, I've continued working on the sexy stickers with Lulu! After seeing how popular Brandon's sexier stickers were at Phoenix Fan Fusion, I realized we needed some of our own. These will start out as 5" transfer stickers (so there's no white around the edges) and we'll see how everyone likes them! I'm working on getting Ceres into this group ASAP.

Hunter Skills
