Hey all,
I've been wanting to get this published for several days now and I just hadn't gotten around to it. But in the spirit of transparency, I wanted to draw your attention back to the Apple IOS fee that I've warned about several months ago.
For anyone who was subscribing to Patreon pages using the IOS app, Apple was charging an additional 30% fee on top of your own payment. I'd previously suggested only using the IOS Patreon app for viewing content and encouraged Apple uses to subscribe to new content only using a web browser.
However, due to a recent US court ruling, Apple now has to allow creators to use other payment methods. This allowed Patreon to quickly switch their billing and avoid Apple's 30% (greed) fee.

If you're an Apple user, make sure your Patreon app is updated and you're good to go. You should be able to use it like a normal app now and not have to worry about hidden fees. Of course Apple is appealing this but hopefully we can just get back to creating stuff and they'll stfu.
