Officially Moving From Twitter
Added 2025-01-23 23:45:48 +0000 UTCHey all, I posted not too long ago to advertise my BlueSky account but up until now, I've still been using Twitter, it was just last on my priority list and usually got cropped pics-- if that.
As of today, I will no longer be posting on Twitter. I do plan to keep the account open but no new content will be added there.
You can now find me exclusively on BlueSky at https://bsky.app/profile/aarynstr8.bsky.social
I want to take this opportunity to also extend an invitation to any of you that are still using Twitter or haven't made the jump over there to come join me and many other similar developers. I made a quick start guide in my previous post found here.
To further help assist the community with the transition, I've also temporarily created a BlueSky Help Center channel on Discord. In that channel, I've pinned a Quick Start Guide and a few links. It's also a place to go to ask questions to get real-time support from the community if you get stuck setting things up. We have a ton of people on the Discord that have always been helpful and there's no dumb questions.

I know it's hard to start over. Especially, with something as big as Twitter once was but times have changed and my sojourn with Twitter has come to a close.

2025-01-28 08:32:21 +0000 UTCit's funny you mention that one cause i just saw it the other day in one of my folders. that seems like forever ago. i still stand by that one for sure. it was simple but effective i think. i do try and keep my distance from most of the political stuff. while it's important, sometimes people need a place away from that to reset so that they can return to it with a clear head so i really try to weigh my participation with that in mind. i also realize that i only know what i'm exposed to and the reality could be completely different to someone else that lives it or a person on the other side of the world with a culture completely different from mine but just as valid. so i check myself. but every once in awhile something will bite me and i'll pop off

Incidentally, I know you're busy, but your Black Lives Matter standalone image still lives in my head (and probably elsewhere - internet maybe). If you were to consider other images supporting human rights - or even humans, frankly, we need all the help we can get - I, for one, would stand behind you 100%. Just ... try not to get killed.
