Update Approaching Info (Release Date Tomorrow)

First off: Hi.

It's been a long time since we've had an update and I think I'm ready to share it with the world. I'm nervous, as I always am, but I'm optimistic and I think I'm as happy as I'll get with it for now. For those that are new, and to refresh some memories, I'm dropping a quick note about the etiquette and some general things that I'll ask of people in regard to the update.

Release Date

Update drops tomorrow, 7/13 at 5pm EST to those in the $5 tier and above. While I usually just start uploading it and post it as soon as it's ready, behind-the-scenes, that has always been a mess for me. It's crazy and I hate making some people wait and overall, it just feels shitty despite it actually being an attempt to get it to you as quick as possible. 

This time, I'm gonna schedule it. I'm going to start uploading and packing things tonight as well as give myself tomorrow to try and make adjustments. I plan on a late night tomorrow to help with that process or make adjustments as necessary.

Downloads

I have three planned download links available now: Google Drive, Mediafire, and Mega. I've used those in the past and it's worked although usually when I release, we get so many simultaneous download requests that things can crash quickly so please be patient. If you have issues, please try to keep me posted either on the game post or through Discord. I'll ask that people follow these general rules of etiquette:

1. Try MediaFire as your first download. I have unlimited downloads here and already pay for it. However, it can be very very slow-- particularly for UK supporters. If it's taking you like 10 hours to download, then you can try one of the others.

2. Try Mega second. This has unlimited downloads and it's free. But sometimes it can get funky with the size of the download for some people. Mega has a cap on what individual users can download during the day so if you start it, leave it, don't hit refresh or you may screw yourself.

3. Try Google Drive last. Google drive sucks because it has a really low cap on downloads. Usually, it crashes about 20 seconds after I post it and then it's dead for like24 hours. But, it has successfully gotten the download to people faster and it's much more reliable after the first day or two rush calms down. 

I'm also releasing this on a weekday so that may help with the initial rush but I got slammed with downloads the last time that I wasn't ready for so please work with me-- this isn't a big operation over there, lol.

I may also be looking at other alternatives once those three are set.

Discussion

When the update drops, feel free to make comments below the update post about the update. You're allowed to include spoilers. If you don't want spoilers, please avoid the comments. If you want to be really kind in your reply, you can always designate that you're including spoilers, that's fine, too. 

There will also be a channel on the Discord for discussion. Please do not discuss spoiler information in the general chat on there or tag me in social media stuff with spoiler information. I don't want to penalize those who are not in a financial situation to help contribute right now, especially when it's taken me forever to do this. Be nice to the free players please :)

Free version is planned to drop on August 2 (3 weeks from tomorrow).

Also, please do not post the Patreon exclusive early access version of the game elsewhere. I share it myself and those who help donate are helping contribute to the ongoing development-- especially when we're going to have to start taking a serious look at the revamp (which I hope will include music and that will probably cost me thousands to get rights for).
