King Dracula Gladiator version / draft
Added 2025-07-31 03:40:12 +0000 UTCBack at it again, sketching out a new version of my favorite character—King Dracula. This time, I’m going for a gladiator vibe. The goal is to bring him closer to that MOTU energy, with Roman-style armor that shows off more of his muscle.
This is super early-stage stuff, just rough ideas here and there. I’m really into the combo of blue with neon orange, kinda like MOTU’s Faker, plus some metallic details. I want the world of King Dracula to feel raw and ancient—like a stone age full of magic and sorcery, with a touch of Conan.
I’m bringing back the eyepatch from my original concept, and thinking about giving him a full beard—it might make him look even more savage. His mystic red moon armor is also getting a full redesign. Still love his logo and theme though.
Most of the lore is already written out, but everything’s still in rough draft mode. If all goes well, I should be dropping this Gladiator King Dracula as a multicolor-print-ready assembly file in under a month.

That’s exactly the idea! King D is gonna have multiple looks and armor sets. The Red Moon Mystic Armor is his legendary battle gear, but he’s a big, heavy-hitting fighter who’s also super fast — so he can totally rock lighter armor too. My first design ended up looking kinda Warcraft-style, but like you said, what I really want is more of that MOTU, Thundercats, and classic '80s cartoon vibe. I’ve got tons of ideas for his story and the whole cast of characters — I’m gonna let it all simmer slow, because I want to make something really special for all of us.

2025-08-01 15:34:08 +0000 UTCI was a huge fan of the mystic red moon armor, reminded me a bit of Hordak with a blend of science/magic/tech. But there's also no reason we can't have multiple versions of the King with various armors/outfits to match timelines and the battles he's fought. In my head, the King Dracula line could blend all the best aspects of MOTU, Thundercats, and Silverhawks! I always felt those 3 lines would work great in a cross-over together :D
