Something about a “sand” cafe

An unnamed (for the moment) roadside cafe, which at the time of Faeena Shay's arrival there is not only empty, but also bears the marks of the heavy aftermath of a recent sandstorm. It is hard not to notice the mountains of golden sand that have filled the main hall of the cafe, bringing with them chaos and disorder. At the same time, you can see the traces of visitors that in a hurry to leave the cafe, throwing the remains of food and even personal belongings. So, the sandstorm came suddenly, taking the peaceful diners by surprise. Depressing, isn't it? I bet it is!
I don't remember how I came up with the idea to add such a location to the game (after all, several years have passed since the script was written), but in the plot of the game's level this small cafe will play a key role. What will attract the main character Faeena Shay and how will this dryad from the green forest suddenly appear to the area where sandstorms are rampant? Naturally, I won't tell you, because these are fat plot spoilers. I will only reveal that there will be uncalibrated portals involved.
The cafe itself is still impersonal, but there is already a concept of its appearance: the cafe will have a nautical theme, as well as signage, logos, announcements, posters and in general all text in Dutch. Why in Dutch? Well, to give the cafe a touch of distant foreignness and show that the protagonist can travel not only in the Blue Wood and the neighboring city. My good friend from Holland will help me in the near future with the decoration and design of the cafe premises.
And a little more detail:
The counter. Behind the counter are the doors leading to the kitchen. As you can see from the half-opened doors and the pile of sand that spilled out of the doorway mixed with dishes, the owner of the cafe will have to dig out the kitchen with an excavator in the future. Naturally, the player will not have access to it (the game will not have any digging mechanics).
The main hall. The place with many tables where the café's customers dined. Flows of sand came here not only from the kitchen, but also from the hall on the left, and through the broken window on the facade, which had not or could not be closed with shutters. A riot of the elements, in short!
Utility room. The only place on the location where the ubiquitous sand has not penetrated. And all thanks to the locked door, which Faeena Shay, of course, will have to open somehow. In the utility room you can find not only all sorts of household items, spare dishes, papers, cleaning equipment and vacuum cleaner, but also a massive generator that powers the cafeteria. And if there is a generator on the location, there must be someone who will run it!
Coffee vending machine. Why did I highlight this particular one? Apparently, because it will play an important role in the plot of the level! I will only mention the fact that Faeena Shay is a coffee addict, and she will never miss an opportunity to taste coffee from faraway lands, even from an ordinary vending machine in a small roadside cafe.
