Idk if you know anything about quantum physics, there is for example the famous SchrΓΆdinger's cat thought experiment where a cat is put in a closed box with a 50% chance of dying by poison gas, and the main idea is that the cat is both alive and dead (in a so-called 'superposition') until you open the box for yourself and check the status of the cat. It is your observation that determines whether the cat is dead or not, it's like a different idea of how reality works (and this is how quantum particles behave). Heisenberg came up with an "uncertainty principle" which basically means that the more precisely you measure one quantity of something, the less precisely you can know another associated quantity. I feel like Walter chose this name because it's like a metaphor for himself. The more that people know him as a friendly chemistry teacher with lung cancer, the less that people know him as a meth producer and drug dealer (and vice versa). Your reality of who Walter is depends on your observation of him. Also, this episode is actually the last episode of season 1! In fact, this season was cut short because of a writer's strike that was going on at the time. They had planned 9 episodes but could only make 7, so they had to change the script a bit and you can think of the first two episodes of season 2 as like the original season 1 finale. Also, in the original script, Tuco was supposed to beat Jesse to death here in the last scene instead of that other guy, but they found that Walter and Jesse had great on-screen chemistry together (no pun intended) so they changed it, luckily :D And yes, it's called kleptomania in English as well. I think gender reveal parties are very American, here in the Netherlands I also don't see people doing it often.
