2024-01-28 13:36:37 +0000 UTCOf course you should know all about Momotaro by now Marko, but surprise surprise some of Momonosuke'character is also based on Momotaro xD As you probably know "momo" is "peach" in Japanese, but also "pink" hence the pink color of his dragon. And Monet's characters is based on the snow woman, a monster in Japanese folklore that seduces men and then freezes them to death, so I liked her freeze and bite technique! Another interesting fact, Momo and Kin'emon style of speech is very formal compared to all other characters and they even use some words that were historically only used by samurai, like for example "sessha" instead of the standard "I" or ending sentenced with the humble expression of "degozaru". Those words are outdated now but are really cool to hear if you are interested in this kind of stuff!

2024-01-28 00:07:22 +0000 UTCFun reaction :) Momonosuke is based on Chinese dragons, who don't have wings and fly using magic. There's myths that chinese dragons create clouds with their breath, and I guess Oda made it so he walks on those clouds to fly.
