Kinda busy, neglecting

The disappointing truth is, my day job got real busy and things at home have been just as crammed. Nights of overtime, chores, errands, family stuff. You know. The last work I did on the book was to fix a lot of terrible formatting on the "scale detail" pages, and put some effort into de-duplication of hundreds of "Rāga" names.
Those are so confusing and complicated because the names seem like they should be consistent, but there are two traditions -- Carnatic vs Hindustani -- and they have different ways of naming the raga that are similar but different.
To be frank, I suspect that the Raga names on the website are a mess and likely full of duplicates and errors. I got the bulk of them from the "Raga Junglism" website, with permission from the author George Howlett. I'm not accusing George of having bad info, but rather when I imported them I think I simplified too much with changing "Raag" spelling into "Rāga" and assumed that Hindustani names were equivalent to the Carnatic. <brain explodes>.
As December approaches, I don't expect to have more free time than usual, because a lot of my deadlines at work are landing mid-December. Maybe by the end of the year I'll get to hunker down with some rummy egg nog and work on the book for a few days. That will be nice.
