I'll listen to English OP cover! And thank you for explanation about the world line, that's crazy. It definitely feels like it's getting more and more serious.

2022-04-21 10:47:14 +0000 UTCIt's crazy how this show so seamlessly moves from a light-hearted "slice of life" type of show and suddenly turns really dark and mysterious. You can even see it really hitting Okabe that they're not playing games anymore. I love what you said about the fact that only he remembers world line changes is screwing with his head. It makes me think of the final line of the opening: "If there's a way we can meet, in a loop devoid of misery; I'm destined to only observe loneliness engulfing all of me." I highly recommend you listen to the English cover of the OP by Amalee, it's so good and really stays true to the Japanese meaning. Just for clarity, only one world line actually exists at a time. All of the others only potentially exist. When the world line moves, the previous universe is essentially "destroyed" and replaced with a new one that accounts for whatever change you made, hence the rewriting of memories. It took me a while to get that's what the show was saying so I thought I'd point it out.
