Also, bit of a content warning: this story includes a passage in which a male character disapproves of his sister's same-sex attraction and relationships, and recounts how their father disapproves as well. These are the characters' views and not my own, but if you'd like to skip this portion you can stop toward the bottom of page 5 after "...as committed to prey rights as the rest of them," and start reading again at the beginning of the next paragraph ("All this to say, Adelaide was...")
