First, I'm sorry that I had to put you through this emotional trauma (lol) I don't think I've ever seen you so speechless at the end of a movie...and I've watched a lot of movies with you. I didn't realize at first that you didn't know it was a true story, sorry! As you found out, yes Selena was a real person. The scum of the earth, I mean, Yolanda, is in prison for her murder. She has done interviews and she says it was an "accident" but we all know that is BULL. However, if you're interested, the interviews are quite interesting to watch but very sad and anger inducing (to me). Chris still honors Selena to this day. I follow him on socials and he's such an amazing dude. He's ALWAYS talking about Selena and honoring her memory. Unfortunately, him and Selena's family are not close anymore (as far as I understand) and have had disagreements on and off since her death. It's sad because we all know she wouldn't have wanted that. For this film, Selena's family was actually on set for most of it, giving suggestions and providing insight. So it is very true to the real thing and to the family's personalities. Thanks for watching! Loved it.
