I'm a Tom Selleck fan, dating back to the 80's and Magnum P.I., so I didn't get mad at his inclusion at all. Back when it first aired and he was on a lot, I was hoping that he'd somehow be a semi-regular. Having Richard come on in this way though, was a lot better than say, Janice coming on and telling Chandler that she loved him and wanted to marry him. This way, it created a little more possible 'jeopardy', though I think most people realized that it would all work out in the end.

I do kinda agree with Dillion i got a little mad at the Richard thing as well, not as mad as you did because i enjoy the story they were telling with that but i get why you got mad at Richard you basically got mad for the same reason Chandler was so mad Richard blew his chance and was coming back and potentially ruining Chandlers chance. Then Richard realized what he did was wrong and told Chandler to go get her and to not make his mistake of letting her go. great reaction to a great finale

Yes I did think Richard was a dickhead, but it was also all a huge horrible coincidence, which was going to make or break them. But I think Chandler said it all to Richard, he blew his chance and he needs to get over it. You do have to realize that Chandler is a guy that was always scared of serious relationships let alone a marriage. He even pretended to freak out when he heard the phone call. Not surprising Monica doubted it honestly.
