2022-08-16 23:48:42 +0000 UTCThe old 60's cartoon was a later followup to Rocky & Bullwinkle, but never quite got the same hit following--R&B already had their own movie, but Disney had gotten the rights for this one in a package of other properties that gave us live-action Disney movies of Mr. Magoo, Underdog and My Favorite Martian. (They tended to make movies in bulk, back then.)

2022-08-16 20:26:18 +0000 UTCI knew "George of the Jungle" was a very old cartoon TV series. I have only seen some old episodes in re-runs, but not all of them. I'm pretty sure the cartoons in the beginning were from the TV series. Never knew it had a movie as well. Only thing I regret in this movie is that the lions in the beginning had very short screen time. However I know there is not enough time to fit everything in an hour and a half movie. ... still big cats. So few movies have those! :(
