How to Process a Disturbing Dream

I’ve always thought I was totally okay with being bald, but when I woke up from a dream where I had hair, I was a little disappointed. On the balance, if I’d been given the choice between hair and no hair, I might well have chosen baldness. It really does have quite a few advantages. But I would have liked to have had a say in the matter.

I don’t have much more to say about that, so I’ll say this instead.

I’m not what you’d call “emotionally demonstrative.”

That’s not entirely true. If you count irritation as an emotion, I’m very demonstrative. I guess I’m kind of an emotional specialist.

Anyway, I want to say thanks to all of you, my Patreon supporters.

I try to approach Patreon as a business proposition, not a charity. I offer a specific service. Patrons get the comic a week early, along with an Out Of Context comic and a commentary that non-patrons will never see. In return, I ask for a fee. I don’t want anyone subscribing unless they specifically want that service, and feel that the amount I ask for is fair.

That said, I am grateful to all of you. Your support makes it possible for me to devote time to this weird-ass comic I make, and I hope you all know that I appreciate it. I consider myself to be pretty-much a lottery winner.

Thanks.

So, in your dream, you looked like Thranduil, at least hair-wise? Of course you considered it badass :).

Thank you for the sentiments, Scott. It hardly felt emotionally demonstrative at all. I for one, appreciate being appreciated. I have loved the comic for a long time, and am glad for the fact that you have decided to resuscitate it.
