I will always advise anyone to watch the MCU in release order. Even if there are zero references to other shows or movies (which there are by the way, they might be small but they are there), that advice stays the same. Each movie/show has its place on the timeline, and I'm not talking about the MCU timeline but our timeline. Every movie and every show was created the way it is and at the time it was created because of what came before. Moon Knight is the first new hero to get his own show before getting a movie in the MCU (I'm not counting the Netflix shows here, which at the time of release were a seperate thing), and understanding the shows that came before will give you an understanding of why Marvel choose that direction. Take your time, don't rush the MCU. You will catch up eventually, but you'll only get one chance of watching something for the first time.

2022-04-28 19:27:59 +0000 UTCBasically, apart from WandaVision tying into the Dr. Strange 2 movie, Marvel has all but admitted they...don't really know where they're going from here, now that the Avengers beat Thanos. The Disney+ shows are like those six-issue limited comic-book stories (and based on a few of them), that drama-focused on a solo character, but didn't really introduce anything that much affected the main stories.

Of course the 6th episode isn't out yet so can't say if that'll be spoiler free 😅. Maybe wait until next week to decide/start, so we can tell you if you're in the clear lol. Of course if I'm wrong someone please correct me lol.

Moon Knight is the first of the Marvel shows I haven't watched because I haven't been a big fan of the shows, except for The Falcon and the Winter Solider and Hawkeye. I didn't care much for WandaVision or for Loki at all, and even the two shows I do like for the most part have their problems. But Bucky and Hawkeye are two of my favorite characters within the Marvel Universe. Especially Bucky. I definitely think their shows are worth watching. Moon Knight just doesn't look interesting to me at all. My opinion. The choice is yours, Dillon. Watch whatever shows look good to you. :) Heidi
