Greetings KYE Patrons,

I wanted to share my new review essay about the January 6 Report that will be published in Dissent's spring issue (and already is online), which Sam and I just recorded a bonus episode about—it should be posted within the next few days.

When Dissent initially asked me to write this, the idea was that I'd look at a number of the different editions of the report (the NYT edition, the New Yorker edition, and so on), and you can still see traces of that near the start. But as I worked on the essay, it became more of a consideration of what such a report could and couldn't do, how it's been received so far, and, ultimately, an argument about how to think about the report.
