I've been aware of GameGrooves for the last few years but this is my first time getting to be a part of one of their community albums. Bright Sound / Dry Lagoon is one of my favorite themes from the villain arc of the game and I really like how this one came out. It was interesting to figure out the balance between how jazzy I should keep the arrangement to stay true to the original and how much metal influence it needed. I ended up keeping a bunch of the aux percussion from the original version even overtop of the thrash metal drumming I added. Big thanks to GameGrooves for putting this album together, and I can't wait to work with them again in the future. Definitely check out the full album on Bandcamp or Spotify. Also added shout out to Alex for filming after we found a brief moment that our schedules lined up.
