Nov WIP.2

Gonna use the pods for a different model set, so I moved the blueberries into the head with the AI core, which, doubles as a sweet hot tub~ The top will be held in place with magnets, and I'll have something modeled to work as a pull tab. I'll be replacing the pods with the two mirrored heavy missile mounts, while the smaller missiles will be incorporated into the rear along with the main ordinance. I've also moved the secondary's to the front with an attached optical sensor suite. The Sturgeon pilots shown are just what I have on hand, and are a placeholder. the front of the cockpit has some emergency supply cases, but I'll be replacing a few of those with more techy greebles as I work.

Just a few more big chunks to go~
And if anyone here is interested, my internet's been doing pretty ok lately, so I've started streaming my modeling sessions there: https://www.twitch.tv/piper_makes_stuff

No schedule really just whenever I can, I'm gonna try for some amount of regularity if my internet can keep up xD

The full Narwhal kit~ and hopefully later on in the month there will be a few collabs for it to also be released~ ~Pipes

Poyper

The november release is the complete kit narwhal legs and upper part or only the upper part?

Israel Bautista

Sorry, that was harsh. It's just not for me.

David Eger

November's release is the full narwhal kit, the one I've been working on for the past two months, that is apparently my weakest offering yet. As for a preview, every WIP shot I post is for the following month's release, so if you don't like this particular mech in the current WIP renders, then unsub for the time and come back when I've got something that's more your jam~ ~Pipes.

Poyper

Is next months release going to be bipedal like your other releases? Could we get some idea of what it’s going to look like before committing for November?

David Eger

I try to leave this kind of stuff up for interpretation~ I think it be rad to have the whole cockpit suspended in fluid, and with some clear resin that could definitely be a thing to mess with~

Poyper

are the pilots to be in a like a liquid like a safety bio material.

Ted Cogley

I know the Pilots are Placeholders but I think they’d look a lot better if their Legs were stretched out to fit the curve of the space. Such an advanced efficient Species wouldn’t waste space like that.

Q

I will have to print 2 hulls of this :D one for the nice, piloted one and second for the Rogue AI one who might get appropriated by some angry space fungi a bit down the lane. Love the idea of full drone army <3

Martin Blasko

I like the oddness of the pilots lying on their sides, it just adds to the fact that the are aliens not blue humans with slit noses.

Chason LaPointe

I second this. Your mech suits are amazing and that is why I’m here. I’m not a fan of these UFC pod/drone suits. Keep up the great work but this month’s design is not my jam.

SuHun Lee

This just keeps getting more awesome with each iteration.

Daniel Sniadoski

Should be a double decker couch setup, or at least a bunk bed lol I think for my own personal one I would want them in a more active position, like a power ranger in a megazord, but I can see the appeal of them being completely hooked up to the machine. I like it because it almost makes more sense because you would like have to commit everything to piloting such an advanced machine, also I could totally see someone making it look like they are suspended in fluid with like resin or something.

miguel alcala

This design is not for me, and in my opinion is a step down from all of your previous releases. I didn't have a great feeling about it last month, but thought the upper half would be more like your other mechs. The pilots laying on there sides just looks goofy. I hope you consider giving us a preview before the start of the month so we can decide if we want to back each month.

David Eger

I think the new design is a big improvement, thank you for taking our thoughts into consideration.
