Building a WOLF BODY!

Let's get straight into it.

Starting with bare bones

I start with hot glueing some polyfil around the center of the torso for a little bit of form

It's the usual torso process for me: a large rectangle with slots taken out where the small of the waist will be. I stitch that around the skeleton first

To the shoulders first, I trim a wedge and stitch upwards to the neck.

Because it's a blunt rectangle and we need more slope to the shoulders, I trim the corners down to the "armpit" of the wire on each side, and stitch it all up.

I do similar for the backside- but more of an S shape to get the curve of the lower back and butt.

Again I stitch down, then sew up the crotch. Similar to the shoulders, I snip a curved wedge out of the hips and stitch it up the sides. During this process, I've been adding lots of polyfil with forceps.

I simply wrap a strip of fleece around the neck wire for a neck. And then a quick dry fit so I can trim down the wire and mark where my sculpted pieces need to go.

I wrap the arms and legs in a little bit of fleece as a base.

I HAD pattern pieces, but the previous wolves were a tad bit too skinny. I expanded the pieces, cut em out, and sewed em up on the machine. The calves will be fully covered, so I used a different fabric to save the lighter gray.

I place the thoughts and upper arms, then stitch and lightly stuff the shoulders and hips.

I trimmed the pieces slightly, tightened the thighs just a little bit, then stitched them to the limb based after sufficiently stuffed.

Forearms and calves got similar treatment.

Some surgery, I snip open the torso to add some more stuffing (you cannot tell the difference. Oh well) but he still looks a bit featureless.

Pecs- I eyeball a chunk of fleece, trimming a lower middle notch, and stitching the under-bust line before packing in some stuffing and stitching up the center + top.

Similar for the crotch.

I add a dark grey panel as his coat pattern. It doesn't fully cover his back because it will be covered. Im also using his chest as a pin cushion

Similar to the pecs, I give him a butt.

Chest hair. Again, his tummy will be covered, so I just worried about the chest. I trimmed the Sherpa to shape it

Neck ruff is a strip of faux fur, brushed and trimmed.

The tail is faux fur sewn around a twisted wire. I trim it a bit and hairspray the tip. I cut a slit where the tail will go on the torso, stick the wire loop in, and then sew it up.

And then HERE HE IS! still gotta do most of this two more times, and then I get to start clothing them. Yay!
