Bat wings and one done!

Starting with the pink one, I give her some socks, simple cuffed tubes
To make them tube socks, instead of painting, I take a thick needle and embroidery thread, knotting it in the back and wrapping it around twice for each stripe.
Short was simple- two tubes for the arms, and the torso portion sewn directly on, with a strip of fabric folded in on itself and around the neck for the turtleneck collar.
I made some cute balloony shorts that kinda look like an upside down heart. Cut out the pieces, sewn together as normal, popped them on, and whip stitched and tightened around the waist and legs. I stuffed in some yarn waste to help them stay a bit inflated
With some of the only Valentine's ribbon I found (if you follow my twitter I'm sure you saw my laments) I make a belt with a small buckle piece
I also add some red trim around the legs.
Dry fit- she's looking cute, but missing wings!
I trace out how I want the wings to look on paper, cut the piece out, then trace the pattern piece out on matching fabric.
I machine sew the bottom portion, leaving the arm part open. I also sew some lines down the points for dimension
I added some powder pigment to match the ears, and sewed the wings to the sleeves.
To accessorize, I added beads to her braids, and glued on small resin heart studs, and pierce her ears to add jump ring hoops.
And I *THINK* that's her finished! I'm gonna see if I can't add anything else other than glossing her eyes, but that's one down, two to go!
