MH part 12: finishing Frankie

I start off by giving Frankie a fishnet undershirt using the best material for art doll fishnets: fishnet. I stitch it up in the back, cut some holes, and add a belly button with dark green paint


Roughly tracing the leg, I sketch out a pants pattern piece on a folded piece of paper, then cut it out and unfold.




I cut out the pieces of my fabrics, then sew up the pant legs, hitting the edges with fraycheck






I sew together one half of the crotch, place it on the body, and trim the pants to be low waisted. I then sew up the back. It's still loose, so I cinch up the sides, making it tighter on the hips.


I glue a studded ribbon to the edge as a belt


Folding a scrap of plaid fabric and glueing it, I make a small band




I cut that band into smaller pieces, and glue them on to be belt loops. I also add a resin skull I made from a mold to be a belt buckle.


I'm adding a half kilt to their pants. I pleat a strip of fabric, and make a waistband by trifolding a strip of fabric. I glue the waistband on top of the pleated strip




For it to attach, I glue a ribbon folded in half with a jump ring in it, glueing that onto either side of the half kilt.


I also added jump rings to the belt loops and joined it all together with smaller rings.


Some cool chains, and the pants are done.






Their shirt is pretty simple, a crop top with one mismatched sleeve.






For boobs, I trim down some pompoms to have a flat side and glue them to the chest. Looks funny, but looks pretty good when the shirt is down


I add a small smiley face patch to their shirt, and finish up by taking black paint to any bits of glue that were showing too much.


I attach all the parts to the body by putting hot glue into the holes of the sculpts, and inserting the wire. And with that, Frankie is done! I'll be putting some unedited photos into my next post!
