Here’s our base body
I cut out rectangles out of red fabric and sew them into tubes. I put them on the arms and stitch them to the shoulders, then paint on messy black stripes while the sleeves are on the doll
I lay the doll on black fabric and use chalk to sketch out a pant leg
I cut out 4 of the pant leg piece, then stitch the leg pieces together. Before joining them at the crotch, I did some decorative whipstitching with green thread
To add details, I take lengths of green ribbon and fold over the edges for a cleaner look, and make a couple…. Loop…. Things…. By folding over and gluing black ribbon with a jump ring at the end. I glue them in place on the pants, with the rings being on the sides of each X
The pants find their permanent place on the body, stitched into place. I add a nail art stud as a button, and more ribbon pieces as belt loops, along with chain connected to the jump rings on the pants along the back
I didn’t take many photos of the shirt process, but I cut out two of a large vest shape, sew them together, and add big sleeves
I put the shirt on the doll, cut some holes into it, and add a ghost from a patterned fabric on the front
I put on all the body parts, lint roll it, add a little necklace, and it’s done!
