THEY LIED TO US ALL! The Truth About the Titanic Has Been Revealed

Very interesting Son... well done keep them coming....

Also... James Cameron was obsessed with Titanic. He spent years studying it and even when down to the wreck multiple times. He tried to be as accurate as possible with what he had at the time. However, he was also making a movie, so he took creative liberties with some of the characters. However, the reason this movie ended up costing that much was that we was so meticulous with getting things right.

I'm only about half way through the video. It's fun to think about, but a lot of this is extremely reaching if not outright false. Still, I'm glad you posted it. I am going to finish it in a bit, but wanted to comment on it now. For example, there are sources that say there was a fire, but the only credible ones say that the fire was not discovered until hours after leaving Southhampton. So, the idea that they knew about the fire, but let it sail anyway to purposefully sink it for money is false. Also...consider that Titanic was carrying some very wealthy people on board. The wealthy ruled the world as much back then as they do now. If this took place today, can you realistically see them making the decision to purposefully sink Jeff Bezos or Bill Gates? Don't you think they would have warned them to get off the ship? The source that Monoly used (NY Tribune) that quoted the stokers that were onboard the Titanic (that said there was a fire) also said the Titanic sank in one piece. We know now that this was false. Titanic broke from strain before sinking. So can we trust a source that reported that fact wrong? Molony is making this assumption based almost entirely on an image. Most engineers he consulted said it was possible, but that the sinking would have occurred with or without the fire. Meaning...it didn't even matter. The image also wasn't very clear, so that darkness on the haul could have been anything. The video also says if not for the fire, it would have been impossible for the iceberg to sink the Titanic. This is completely false. There were documented reports of large icebergs that night from many ships. The Titanic was just steel. A large iceberg definitely could tear a whole in the ship if hit at the right speed. So...this is fun to consider, but the person narrating is doing it more for his audience to get a fun kick out of it rather than being accurate. It's a conspiracy theory at best. One that wouldn't really have made a difference in the sinking.

I love watching all your stuff Dillon. personally I love more and more content. You are brilliant at what you do. Don’t let the odd person get you down. Everyone is different and you can’t please everyone but you are so inspirational and I love your reactions.

Annie

I think your pacing is good atm.

Falcon

I get it Falcon, but I love making videos hahaha. It is my passion, but I also get what you and Eric are saying.

Aussie Dillon

Well I guess they are just worry about you and they don't try to force a specific content. Also even if they were, they are patreons, they have rights to complain if they don't like something - don't take that personally. Also I think the amount of content per month is fine. I was here when you produced like 2-3 videos per month, now you are making more then ever, so chill everything is fine. We all know you work very hard, but I guess what we want to say that you dont have to. Don't feel the pressure that you have to do xyz number of videos weekly. Its fine for us if you want to rest.

Falcon

Yeah people really love to moralize over historical events, so Hollywood tend to create heroes, villians, fools, good side, bad side - while there is sometimes no such things, or even morals in historical events.

Falcon

Easy, steady rotation? So you are finding it annoying I am uploading alot? This makes no sense. How is it difficult to follow what I upload on Patreon. You don't like a movie from the Indian channel, then don't watch it. I upload all my content here for everyone. Eric mate, I have no idea what you are trying to say, but you joined Patreon for my extra content. So did other people. You were trying to be a smart ass to me and I am defending myself and the wide range of people I am producing content for who pay for requests to Movies and you bash them by saying who requested this crap. Well others are living in this world to mate. I care about everyone on Patreon, including you. I am sorry if you do not like Indian content or reaction videos, but this is where I am uploading them. I grew up having to fight and scrap for my living. So working hard and smart is second to none for me. I love what I do and this is my dream. How could I not love making content, more and more.

Aussie Dillon

@Dillon -Calm down, no worries—No one’s accusing you of NOT working, on the contrary: With three channels (I’m guessing, one for the movies/TV, one for the Indian movies, and one for personal stuff?) all coming through one Patreon page, it can seem like a lot, and when a little too much of one channel comes through at a time, it can be confusing for fans of the other two. Just keep things in an easy, steady rotation, and it’s all good.

Eric Janssen I'm wondering. If you feel burned out. Why are you watching it? I have many things I don't care about. So I don't watch them I watch only these I like/care to. For example, I have burned out on "Friends" many many years ago. So I don't nowadays. However I know there are those that haven't So I don't mind/bother them watching. I even have seen a lot of the movies/shows about Titanic back in the days. Dillon however has not. So let him watch it? You don't have to If it's not you thing anymore.

KittyGuardian

Cameron seemed to be more interested in finding someone (preferably someone rich) to "blame" for the Titanic, when it was clearly a case of not enough safety measures in the North Atlantic expended on too many passengers. If we take Cameron's word at fact, then Jack & Rose CAUSED the sinking, when they distracted the watch guard away from icebergs.

Eric Janssen

I have paused my recording of Wreck it Ralph to comment back.

Aussie Dillon

I legit did a 5 hour stream last night to talk to you all on Patreon and YouTube.

Aussie Dillon

Well think whatever you want. I am pissed off with you both for this. Unbelievable, I give more content and I get no love. Thanks guys.

Aussie Dillon

Sorry, we'd just been worried about your working TOO hard, lately.

Eric Janssen

It does kinda feel that way.

JIM SCHMITZ

I always say a claim is only as good as its evidence. I'd like to know more about Maloney's, and how other experts have reacted to his claim. A consensus of educated opinions speaks louder to me. As far as Cameron's take on the events, its fictionalized main story could account for some license taken with the facts. I guess that's why it still intrigues us to this day.

JIM SCHMITZ

How can you say this, I am one of the hardest working YouTubers out there. I have 3 channels and Patreon. Do not forget this mate.

Aussie Dillon

I haven't watched all of the video (since we're a little burned out on "conspiracy theories" in the US at the moment...), but if the point is that Cameron's movie "lied" about events, I'm sort of taking that as a given--Cameron definitely seemed to have more on his mind than the actual events. And while a few nice "side" videos are good, the big rush of them is starting to worry us about whether movie/TV burnout IS beginning to set in.

Eric Janssen

I'd recommend watching A Night to Remember (1958) even in your free time, it shows scenes from the Californian and adds a bit more historical context than James Cameron's Titanic (despite some of the events being proven to be wrong). You could basically view James Cameron's Titanic to be a remake of A Night to Remember because a lot of scenes are similar (minus the romance aspect).

The coal fire did happen, but it was concealed in a bunker so it wasn't discovered fast, however, this actually helped the Titanic after the collision, the crew had to move hundreds of tonnes of coal from the fire on the right side to the left side, which made the Titanic tilt to the left, which is why it didn't capsize (like the Britannic, which would have actually killed almost everyone in about an hour with no lifeboats getting out). In terms of the speed at the collision, Titanic never got up to full speed, they didn't care about the speed record, and the last boiler wasn't lit. For the lifeboats, they were trying to get as many boats off as possible, class had nothing to do with it, it was if anything because of the women and children first policy ( they were so short on time that the last two boats were floated off the ship), the crew thought they could have picked people up when the boats were in the water, also women did not want to leave their husbands when they were on what seemed like a stable ship early in the sinking. There were a lot of things that contributed to the sinking, but it was a miracle that so many people survived, it could have been so much worse, which is a horrible thought.

I just actually watched your whole reaction to Titanic and yes, I might've bawled my eyes out... again. (And yes, I had the best time last night, I cried then too, but with laughter :D) Leonardo DiCaprio actually got a 50 million dollar paycheck with his role for Jack Dawson. The same went for Rose's actress Kate Winslet. The most money went to the scenes where they shot the actual real life footage. About the 13 course meals, you see it in the movie, but for upper class people that time, the meals were sophisticated and on the smaller side. 20 life boats... Hmmm, you would've had to fit 110 people in one to have every passenger survive... With 48 boats they could've put 46 people in each, and if they'd gone with the original plan with 60, they would've managed to put 36 people in each. And what you said about water being scary, the element of water itself is calm. But when you add other elements to it, air, fire, earth, objects, people, etc. it can become scary if you think like that. But I know the people would've been too scared to even think like that... I know because it happened to me once, it was a minor accident, but it still freaked me out a little. I don't really believe that it was about the fire. It was more about, like you said, the neglect. I hope everyone can learn something from the Titanic's story~
