But, once Eren got the power of the Founder, he could choose which memories he wanted to share with the past holder. If you recall the Founder can alter memories, and also rewrite the way people see things. So Eren used that ability not to erase memories but, transmit them across time to someone. In this case, his father. So Eren was purposely showing Grisha certain memories while completely leaving others out, or refusing to provide context. When Erren showed up and could be seen, that's when Grisha realized the time to go and do what needed to be done was near. If you notice, Eren and Grisha made eye contact several times the day he was going to kill the Reiss family. Even as they walked, Eren kept an eye on him. My guess is that as long as Eren is watching Grisha, Grisha is also aware of his presence. This is confirmed as well by the fact that Zeke could only be seen at key times, namely when Eren was staring at Zeke. At those times Grisha could not only see Zeke, but interact with him as well. Also, I'm curious to see how Christene will come out of this by the time it's all said and done because WHEW.

2025-06-05 22:29:11 +0000 UTCif you think back to the end of season 3, that’s when eren kisses historia’s hand. When he did that he saw his dad’s memories of future eren’s memories of what’s to come. That’s the whole reason why from that point on his whole personality shifted in a sense. he already knew he was going to win in the end.

ALSO all titan users are able to see memories of their past holders its only the attack titan that can see and gain its future holders as well - to add onto that in this episode we see Eren's dad being influenced by the memories that eren shows him resulting in him killing the royals and taking the Founders power. I think thats right? people can correct me if im wrong. there is also another thing but i dont know if it counts as a spoiler or not - with the information we have now you would be able to figure it out but just to be safe i wont say anything as i know it gets mentioned later on.
