Ricken sounds like a pretentious idiot, but he often tells the truth. For example, in the scene where Devon is having a contraction he states "Telling a secret will speed up the labor and create a soul void." The second Ricken told a secret Devon's contractions got way more intense. It happens again in the same episode, when Mark is about to tell his deepest secret - Devon immediately goes into labor. Stuff like this actually happens throughout all the episodes involving Ricken. Also, yes, the lady who plays Mark's date and Devon's doula is also the lawyer lady in DareDevil Born Again.
