New Support Tier Available!

New Tier:

Hello, everyone! As of today, I'm making a new tier available. This is the Supportier Supporter Tier available at $12/month.

To be clear, this new tier is PURELY for additional monetary support. Think of it as a sort of "Donation Tier." Anyone in this tier will have access to the same exact releases as the Supporter Tier.

It exists purely to allow those who may want to help me move closer to a goal of doing what I do full time.

I also want to stress: The standard $3 Supporter Tier isn't going anywhere. I have no plans to start stripping down the features of the older tier to drive people to a more expensive subscription. That's not the way I do things.

Why Now?:

The gradual eking out of progress on The Isle of Eros has been satisfying, but also a little bittersweet. Work on this new game, as I said in my last update, has been and will continue to be quite slow. I wish I could be doing more, but it's currently not possible. This is due to my life situation preventing me from having time where I can effectively work on Twine projects.

I would love to get back to more Twine time, but the biggest hurdle to that is the usual one: money. In order to justify the change to my schedule to make it happen, I would need for Patreon to bring in about five times as much monetary support as it currently does.

That's a lot of money, especially for a niche-in-a-niche-in-a-niche creator like myself. I know it's virtually impossible for that to happen anytime soon. Further complicating matters, times are tough for most people these days. I know a lot of people simply can't justify $3/month for silly smut stories and games, let alone $12.

Still, I'm never going to get closer to my goal of devoting more time to this if I don't take the next step. This new tier offering is that next step.

Final Points:

I want to stress that I don't expect a lot of money to come from this new tier. Asking for more money for the same product isn't exactly a winning marketing strategy. That said, every supporter who opts for the $12 tier, even for one month, will be a massive help.

Will a few people taking up this new tier help make the Interactive Fiction come back faster? No. I would need every single one of my current Supporters to move to the higher tier for good for that to happen. I know that's not going to happen, and I wouldn't dare ask it.

This is just the beginning. As my current ongoing stories begin to wrap up (still quite a while away, I promise), I'll be able to put out more ebooks that will help supplement my Patreon support, and that will give additional help, for sure.

So, if you want to give a lot more support to what I do and what I want to do, please consider becoming a Supportier Supporter if (and only if) it's feasible for you.
