October 2024 Game Plan

September was a pretty dry month, apart from a sudden drop of OC bios. I wanted to do something for the most part was indulgent, just to see if that would help with my motivation to get back into doing art on a more full term basis. For the most part, it has! That said, I still have classwork things to do, and my output might not be larger than it had in previous months. This is my final semester, which ends off in a big capstone project that I want to go at least a bit all out for. There is a possibility billing will be paused on November if I'm too behind just so I can take that month to comfortably focus on that, but, that goes without saying.
I really enjoyed myself drawing tons of Nopon related art the past few months, and also getting outside my comfort zone to draw something that isn't Pokemon (the species) related at all. It definitely felt like I've focused on Pokemon a bit too much, and am hoping to find more outlets. Working on the Faye and Jessie pics certainly also helped, since, for the first time in a long time, I actually drew something that I was currently engrossed in (I've been watching Cowboy Bebop with friends every Monday, and Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster released, so I'm experiencing the remaster). In fact, September really was the month where, for the most part, I drew what I was currently playing or watching. I don't know if it's gonna end up the same way this month, but side projects are gonna be a "go with the flow" kinda basis.
Now that I've done my ramble, the Game Plan:
I plan on doing a small set of coms at the start of this month to see where I stand, nothing big, just some pieces for friends. After that, depending on how I'm feeling, I'll leap into coms at midpoint or end of this month for other clients. In terms of what I'm gonna draw, well, it's spooky month. There'll be some Halloween themed pieces, or, some costume themed pieces. Still a couple sketches I'd love to adapt from last year too.
I am DEFINITELY not taking any fucking inktober challenges this year, f u c k that. Last year was hell to do.
