My idea for this design was for Void Knights to be, in truth, regular knights that serve the same church the Void Evangelists serve. Void Evangelists worship the great nothingness through silent prayers and enter communion with the empty, channeling its power and transfering them to knights who would become vessels for the great nothingness, able to also use its powers in exchange for having their bodies erased slowly as they tap into the empty inside.
The male here is already in and advanced stage of being consumed, his body gest atomized and absorbed into that personal black hole, getting redshifted as they approach the event horizon. Void Knights in that stage are incredibly powerful and feel no pain, however they're not conscious anymore and act under the will of the great empty.
The female is in an initial-ish stage, starting to morph but still retaining her consciousness and automony but it wouldn't be too long till she's swallowed into oblivion like her male counterpart.

OF COURSE if you adopt any of these characters you can make up whatever lore you want, I'm just sharing my mind on designing these.
