Heyyy, do you like t-shirts?
By: Caitlin Cooper I @C2_Cooper
With the Pacers advancing to the second round of the playoffs for the first time in 10 years, it only seemed fitting to add a new fit to the Basketball, She Wrote collection at Teepublic. For context, this look draws inspiration from the bucolic metaphor which my friend and co-host, Samson Folk, happened to, uh, farm during the debut episode of our playoff coverage.
"He will plant the crops, he will grow his farm," Samson said, previewing what the results might be if the Bucks played drop coverage against Tyrese Haliburton. "It will be his thing. He will have control. He will have an agrarian economy of buckets."
Turns out, when the Bucks attempted to play drop coverage in Game 4 of the first round, Haliburton and Myles Turner combined for 53 points, including 12 made threes. Of course, unbeknownst to Samson, who is new to coverage in this market, what he said wasn't just prescient, it was also, at least in my opinion, a better pastoral reference to the team than the slogan that is already in play.
Sure enough, some of you agreed, as there have been comments here on Patreon as well as over on X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube, requesting that his words be turned into a shirt.

Well, ask and you shall receive.
Samson and I have wanted to collaborate on something together for a long time, but the timing has never worked out. Since the team he covers is on hiatus, he has been kind enough to contribute his time and talent here at Basketball, She Wrote. As such, in addition to paying tribute to the Pacers, as a team located in the Midwest with a star from the Midwest which subsists on regularly harvesting buckets, this shirt is also a thank you to everyone for listening to and engaging with our podcast run covering this playoff run -- for however long both last.
Enjoy! Lastly, a special thank you goes out to my sister who wishes to remain anonymous for the artwork she came up with for the design, as Samson and I also both grew up playing hoops in small, remote towns -- albeit in different countries. With that said, here's to the Pacers and their ongoing yield of buckets.
