Talking about how 2025 went for the channel, future plans, Khloe the cat, and some general rambling.

Thanks again for making 2025 an awesome year for the channel, I can't stress enough that it wouldn't be possible at all without each and every one of you. We'll be full steam ahead rolling into 2026! Hoping I'll have another video out in 2025, but unfortunately can't make any promises with the holidays and bunch of travel coming up.

Oh yeah that guy has great videos, I've already watched most of them haha. I'll check out that playlist, I hadn't actually come across that one yet.

clabretro

glad to hear that!

Merry Christmas mate. I was going to post this youtube video link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u20Ohx5xL4k to help you on your T1 adventures and I saw in the comments youre already subbed to that channel. He does create good work just like you do. I have also been following through this playlist https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9aKveCYnVWE&list=PLyAGrHtNYH-gCHBlnprJTZkWNy3lgYhK1 and may help, it is hard to watch though. It gets good around video 12. 19 and 20 will help the T1 path. I cant wait to see what you come up with next. For me I hope its T1, but I think I would watch whatever you put out. Your easy to watch and entertaining and you right, I think its because you enjoy what you are doing so it comes through the vids..

I am glad that I found your channel in 2025. You have a genuine enthusiasm for all the technology you cover and are really great about explaining how stuff works especially all of the command line and terminal material. It's really cool to see how these things work since I grew up fascinated with technology but never had any hands-on with most of this because it was all enterprise use and cost.

Merry Christmas to you and your family, all the best for the new year.

Keep up the quality content! This is a no-brainer sub for me--we grew up around similar times and like you've said a few times, T1 always had this mythical venerated status growing up. I get to live vicariously through you watching all this cool technology I would have killed to play with back in the day! Glad to hear you're still having fun with it.

Thanks, and sorry to hear about Raymond :(

Happy holidays!

Glad to hear that. Yeah "retro" is such a loaded term, I'm glad people are generally accepting of including the early 2000s stuff now.

Merry Christmas!

Great behind-the-scenes! Thanks for that. Sorry to hear bout Nikki. We had the exact same thing happen to Raymond.

Love the content and keep up the amazing work! Happy holidays to you and your family!

I've said it before and I'll say it again how much I appreciate you showing your failures and successes. The journey of learning makes it all the more relatable. Especially when you're using the contemporary manuals. And just in general I love what you and The Serial Port are doing expanding the conception of what "retro computing" can mean. The late 90s and early 2000s are in some ways harder to understand because the historical record is split between dwindling numbers of printed materials and arrival of online materials (many of which are only in the Internet archive).

Thanks for the videos! I always find them interesting, and sometimes nostalgic (like the terminal video) as I'm a retired IT guy. Looking forward to the T-carrier video! Merry Christmas and safe travels.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.
