I love how the story keeps playing with and pointing at tropes of not only storytelling but the human condition itself - and then unironically makes use of the biggest trope ever to build drama: Two people not talking properly about their feelings for each other. 😁

I empathize with him in being unable to speak to eliza, but he makes so many assumptions, and doesn't even question them... Maybe that is what being the hero to long does to you?
