2026-01-16 04:03:08 +0000 UTCi remember renting this on VHS as a kid thinking it had so many things I liked that it was gonna be my favorite movie.... I don't think I made it 40 minutes. It kinda reminds me of the nonsense that was Casino Royale, which I also haven't seen in 25 years.

2026-01-15 01:00:48 +0000 UTCI'm glad you covered this. I recommend this movie several years ago. To me this is the quintessential "almost cult classic" being (rightly) overshadowed by Clue. I like parts of this movie, but wish I could like it more. Clue took the premise and did it better making this movie almost unnecessary

2026-01-13 21:20:28 +0000 UTCFirmly on Ryan's side of this debate. I would always catch clips of this when it would play periodically on TCM, not laugh, and then change the channel after about three minutes. Oh yeah, also, Peter Falk is overrated and Ryan is right, he's the worst one in the movie.

2026-01-12 22:52:21 +0000 UTCHearing Ryan talk about this movie reminded me of when I watched 48 Hours for the first time with some friends. Would recommend checking out It Was Just An Accident, Sentimental Value, and No Other Choice if you have the time for any of them (NOC came out last weekend I believe). Those were among my favorites from what I saw last year.
