A Fine Mess is fun. The film he made with John Ritter, Skin Deep is good too. You might like S.O.B. Blake Edward's was a gem

Pablo Pappano

Yes it was my question given how Joe loves classic comedy I figured I should ask if he was familiar with him

Sebastian Lozano Films

Love the Chespirito shout-out!! That Telemundo TV show with the adults playing kids was my shit as a kid!! It's called "La Escuelita" and the humor still holds up it's all double entendres and word play.

Your video on Wind in the Willows made me watch it and it was quite a treat. You can hardly tell it Jones in that makeup. On that note, maybe do a almost cult classic on Yellowbeard. I remember my dad buying it for me as a kid since I was a python fan. The PG movie had some themes and moments that made me smile as a young teen. It's also Marty Feldmans last film so may be worth a watch. I remember it being pretty incoherent, full disclosure

Kyle Leeson

Joe would HATE John Waters movies.

Carlisle

I think they skipped on my question on purpose

I know, it's pretty bad. I even said as much in a comment on an earlier episode. It's pretty sick that of the 50+ comments under this episode like 10 of them are from the two of us alone. Joker and I are actually in a support group together. I'm glad you were the one to finally say what everyone else was thinking!

Lux Anatis

Goddamn, Lux and Joker definitely got a parasocial thing going on with you guys 🤔

Louie Caponecchia

Workers compensation?

At work today my boss said something that was truly chilling. He said he's excited for the new Spaceballs movie, especially since Josh Gad is one of the writers. He also thinks that since Josh Gad is such a cool and funny actor and that he's really hoping that Josh Gad will replace John Candy's role as no one could do it better. He said it so sincerely it took me everything not to laugh

Also, maybe not so good for putting clips to (or being representative), but my favorite episodes are the christmas episode with the 3 movies and the QT book episodes. When you guys move from subject to subject and get all passionate about the material, it seems like a real look into the genesis of you guys just talking all night about movies.

About 10 minutes left in this and I went to the thrift store on my way to wife's job. I see a VHS copy of a 1985 Disney TV movie "The Undergrads" with my friend and yours Art Carney. Expect a care package of stupid shit to arrive in a few days!

Berserk is TOP Anime but the ending is the typical read the manga ending, I think Ryan was Describing El Chavo del Ocho or maybe Bienvenidos (Sexy Lady Teacher Gag), I recommend Monster anime for Ryan to Watch; about 15 years ago Steven Spielberg had the adaptation rights for a movie with Will Smith.

Responding to Ryan, I have read The Devil's Candy, as it was a great resource when writing my Letterboxd review of Bonfire of the Vanities. I will say that the TCM podcast they did of the book is a more streamlined & condensed retelling of the film's production. Julie narrates it, and there are snippets of her tape recordings of the cast & crew she interviewed.
