I'm probably too late, but have you heard anything about Adam Sandler being influenced by Jerry Lewis? They both have/had a tendency to play wacky goofball types of characters. The examples of Billy Madison, Nicky, and Donnie Burger remind me a bit of Lewis

Another reason I really think they should be making at least 3-8 minute short films or sketches once a month, just to put it to use. Like if you took guitar lessons for 10 years, and have a guitar sitting in the corner of your room, but barely touch it, that'd be a shame.

"Sentimental Value" will also win best picture and possibly actor, actress and director, especially if they put Stellan Skarsgard in best actor and not supporting actor.
