Growing up on the 80s and 90s, most of us were exposed very heavily to our parents pop culture, especially if you had cable. I was able to enjoy the Nicktoons along with Hanna Barbera, the Disney afternoon along with the Looney Tunes, and Gilligan's Island right next to Family Matters. And you could tell the people making this stuff were of that era as well and knew it inside out. Having gotten older now with children of my own, it seems a lot of our parents stuff is going forgotten and it makes me kind of sad. I know I could just buy a DVD set here or possibly even download something there, but the point is if I had had streaming services and YouTube I never would have chosen to watch The Flintstones. Having unlimited choice only exposes us to that which is within our bubble.
