Patreon Exclusive: Blast of Silence/The Silent Partner/Tokyo Godfathers

Merry Christmas everyone! We watched three of your picks for underappreciated Christmas movies as an end of the year thank you for supporting us on Patreon. On this episode, we discuss Blast of Silence (1961), The Silent Partner (1978), and Tokyo Godfathers (2003). Three really different movies set against a Christmas backdrop, but also ones that have some commonalities amongst them. Thank you for sending these suggestions our way as we had a lot of fun watching these movies and talking about them for you.

On behalf of Ryan and myself, we also wish you the happiest of whatever holiday you celebrate. We are so proud of the community we've built here on Patreon and all of the engaging discussions that are had in the comments. We can't wait to create even more content for you in the New Year! We'll be back very soon for our special episode on the wicky, wicky, Wild Wild West

Satoshi Kon's Opus was great also Magnetic Rose is a masterpiece, another film The Beast (1988) is a hidden gem.

Salvador Pereira

I’ve always been interested in Perfect Blue and Millennium Actress sounds dope, they are on the top of my Satoshi Kon to-watch.

If I remember right, Ice Age also borrows the plot from/is inspired by 3 Godfathers. Maybe you’d enjoy listening to Ray Romano and John Leguizamo more 🤭 (animation’s not as good tho)
