Early Access: Episode 29 - The Freshman (1990)

Hey everyone, here's early access to our newest episode on The Freshman! Sorry for the delay between episodes, summer is just usually a hectic time for us to record, but we're happy to be back and very thankful for your patience and support!

Being that Ryan picked BASEketball, I chose this favorite from my childhood for us to discuss on the show. It was directed by Andrew Bergman and stars Matthew Broderick as a college freshman who gets involved with a mobster played my Marlon Brando, essentially recreating his role from The Godfather.

On our Patreon follow-up, we'll be discussing more of Bergman's work - in particular Fletch. We hope you enjoy this episode! Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Thanks for another interesting and funny episode. The Freshman (on DVD) is one of those movies that’s been in the collection for years, but never got around to actually watching. Sounds like I can hold off for a few more years. Fletch is so great. That should be a fun conversation to record. For other suggestions: Christopher Guest movies were briefly mentioned. How about For Your Consideration (2006)? That one kind of came and went. And, I think we need another full episode exploring a De Palma flick.

Glad you guys are back. I love the movie catch-ups, with the tv talk to. If you guys ever get the time or if the patreon becomes more profitable, do those more often. Thanks!
