Patreon Exclusive Episode: Robin Hood - Men in Tights (1993)

Hey everyone, here's a bonus episode just for you! We discuss Mel Brooks' penultimate film, Robin Hood: Men in Tights and why we think the movie had such a bizarre impact on 90's kids. Even more bizarre though is how this movie came to be - it involves a dentist, Michael Jackson, scientology, and Kevin Costner. We go through the full story though, as well as stuff we didn't get to in our Silent Movie episode, the unmade Mel Brooks films, bad 90's parody movies, and what to expect on our next episode!

Thanks, as always, for your support! Let us know your thoughts on Robin Hood: Men in Tights below.

First, let me just say, you guys talking about this bonus episode on the “Silent Movie” episode finally got me to break and join Patreon. Glad I finally did. Secondly, I had a childhood fondness for this movie. I still think is the least offensive thing you could waste time on, however, seeing it before any other Mel Brooks film ruined the rest of Mel’s work for me. This movie reminds me of those cheap, greatest hits albums record labels will crap out for quick cash. It’s all the gags you loved, but got burnt out on the first time around.

Just watched Robin Hood men in tights last night. Really bad. The blazing saddles joke at the end is really bad but I hated the home alone, white man can’t jump and 12th century fox jokes a lot more.
