Glad to rewatch this masterpiece with you, McJibbin! Great reaction to the first episode! Completely agree about subtlety being so much more effective, and we Brits definitely like to string out the awkwardness to the point where the audience and characters are stewing in it! :-D

2023-10-29 18:28:16 +0000 UTCYour reaction to this was great 🙌 Couple of explanations if you need them - reference to Ricky the temp staff's name and then Brent going on about Eastenders and Bianca - If you didn't know already, Eastenders is a famous soap drama here (been running for decades) and at the time, Ricky and Binanca were two characters from that show. Also Ricky on the soap was opposite character to Ricky in this show. 'Swindon' being the other office to this office based in Slough is genius.... Too many reasons to explain why that is so funny, but basically a non descript, rubbish, souless town being 40 mins down the highway somewhat explains it 😂 - I can't remember if US office did the same gag (I lived in Swindon on and off for a number for of years, so I am allowed to say that 😉)
