My Werewolf System Chapter 1050

Xin was shocked that her attack had been stopped for two reasons. One was due to her strength. She was transformed and in her Altered state, her hand moving at super-fast speed and using all her might. She could barely believe her strike had been intercepted so easily.

The second reason was the fact that William had supposedly been asleep. She had made sure of it, even verifying he was snoring before she approached his bedside.

‘Did he know I was here the whole time? Was he just trying to lure me into this situation?’ she wondered, her mind racing.

Regardless, Xin had her other hand free, and with it, she swung forward, aiming for the bed. Her fist crashed down, smashing through pillows and electrifying the wooden frame with her power.

Yet, her other hand was now free from his grip, but William himself was gone. He had vanished completely from the bed, leaving her baffled.

Suddenly, she felt a faint shift of air to the side of her face. But before she could fully react, a large object slapped her across the cheek. The loud smack echoed through the room, and her skin stung painfully from the impact.

Xin quickly jumped back, holding her face. She moved around the room, her eyes narrowed, finally spotting William in his transformed state.

“What the…?” Xin said, genuinely confused. “Did I just get hit by a flipper? What even are you?”

William stood there, both arms transformed. They were sharpened like wings but didn’t quite have the usual wing shape, and instead of extending from his back, they jutted out at his sides like strange appendages.

Xin’s guess was right: they were large, massive flippers, and on his face, he now had a small, curved beak.

“Penguins are quite unique creatures,” William replied. “Even while sleeping, they remain aware of predators surrounding their environment. You shouldn’t underestimate this form.”

“There’s a reason why I’m ranked 18 in the AFC, and you must remember that Altered forms may resemble animals we have today, but they’re based on the vicious beasts that existed in ancient times!”

William opened his mouth, and while no audible noise came out, a strange, intense ringing suddenly resounded in Xin’s head. She clutched her head, feeling an excruciating pain that felt like it was burrowing straight into her mind.

It was as if someone were scratching at her brain from the inside.

“I have to… I have to… ignore the pain!” Xin growled, forcing herself to stand up and lunge forward with determination.

But William was quick, sliding on his belly and skidding across the floor in a fluid, smooth motion, leaving behind a strange trail of mucus as he evaded her.

Xin was moving her head from left to right, but William was zipping around the room in all directions, barely giving her a chance to anticipate his moves.

‘These Zodiac members are stronger than I expected. I knew I might have to face them head-on, but William is proving to be a serious challenge. This is only the second Zodiac member I’ve fought, and he’s already this tough,’ she thought, gritting her teeth.

William slid forward, then leaped into the air. With his enormous flipper, he struck her squarely across the arm. Xin instinctively tried to counter with a punch, but her fist hit nothing but empty space as William evaded with ease.

He continued to slide around the room, repeatedly getting close before delivering another solid slap. Each time, the impact echoed, and Xin felt the pain spreading across her skin. Her arms and cheeks were turning red from the slaps, stinging with each strike. The throbbing pain seemed to last longer than a punch would have, making her frustration mount.

“Ahh!” Xin yelled in frustration as she charged forward. She had been observing his movements closely and noticed a pattern. Charging her arms with electricity, she aimed to finally land a hit.

Yet, even when she managed to hold him for a brief moment, William slipped out of her grasp with surprising ease.

“That stung a bit,” William admitted, flashing her a slight smirk. “But I assure you, this will sting a lot more!” With that, he jumped, and his massive flipper came down on Xin’s back with a loud thud.

The excruciating pain caused her to collapse onto her knees, her forehead nearly touching the ground. She had been so careful, paying close attention, yet even when she managed to grab him, this was the outcome.

“If that’s how you want to play it, then I’ll destroy everything!” Xin declared, her voice echoing with determination as she brought both arms to her sides.

Her feathers stood upright, charged with a fierce electric energy, and in an instant, a large electrical surge exploded from her, filling the entire room. The static electricity immobilized William, sparking all across his body as Xin finally saw her chance.

She charged forward with fierce intensity, both hands prepared for the final blow. Bursting through, she thrust her hands into William’s chest. The impact was so forceful that both she and William crashed through the wall, ending up on the other side of the building, suspended briefly in midair.

Xin landed on the ground, dragging William down with her, her hands still embedded in his chest. Blood filled his mouth, and as she pulled her hands out, she was certain she had finally finished him.

But as she looked around, Xin’s heart dropped.

“This… isn’t good,” she muttered.

She had landed in the garden, and around her were not only Harvor, who was casually sipping a drink, but the rest of the Zodiac members, all of whom had witnessed her take down William.

“She killed William… she killed him right in front of us?” Berry said, his voice tinged with shock.

Berry seemed ready to step forward until a particular figure stood up and adjusted his glasses.

“Everyone, step back. It’s quite clear this one is a strong individual,” he said, his tone calm but authoritative. “You should recognize her—Xin, the sister of Jayden Tiger,” Stanley continued, polishing his glasses.

“I’ll handle this one myself. The rest of you, don’t get involved. It seems people are starting to think the One Gang is too easy,” Stanley said, a hint of irritation in his voice.
