I just wanted to share this image I was working on. While I can work on my old laptop and continue rendering scenes, it often crashes (maybe thrice in an hour) because of much lower vram. I can fix this by reducing the texture quality like I used to in my earlier work. This will however create some inconsistencies when I start working on my pc again so I'm not going to do that. Instead, I've been writing a lot and this will be the biggest episode so far. I'm just focusing on writing and UI improvement for now like adding the journal for example until I can get to renders on my pc.

I think you're wise to hold off on renders until you can work on your preferred PC! The initial aspect of VNs which first catches the reader's eye are the visuals. Hence, "visual novel" :-) I'm not saying the writing isn't important -- the writing gives the visuals context and meaning -- but the visuals are (arguably) what draws the reader's attention first. So, I think your instincts are right, CC. You don't want to risk the ongoing quality of your visuals when there are other ways to further your project in the meantime.
