Issues this week

My laptop suddenly went blank while I was working and it just turns off when I reach the desktop (post windows login) . I’m not sure what the issue is and my heart sank as soon as that happened. It’s been 4 days now. it’s still under warranty so I sent it to the service center which is luckily not far from where I live. They said it’ll take 3 days to figure out what’s wrong and today is the third day so I’ll update this post when I find out what’s wrong. They told me I wouldn’t lose data because they don’t think it’s a hard disk issue. But still, I can’t help but worry. I’ve been writing code on another system so I can just transfer it over when I get my laptop, this way I just have to work on renders when my laptop is back.
Sorry again for going quiet, I’ve been really worried about the laptop and didn’t realize I haven‘t said anything here yet. Send happy thoughts!

Update : turns out it was a motherboard issue and they’re waiting for the part right now. The delay sucks but I guess the good news is that the data is safe.
They had the laptop for 3 days and did nothing until I went back to the place and asked for an update. Just playing the waiting game now :(
Good news! : Got the laptop back today. Everything seems to be working fine but I'm spending tonight backing all my data up so if this ever happens again, I can maybe work on another machine. I have around 700gb worth of assets to back up so I'm dedicating tonight just for this and I'll get back to work tomorrow!
