Added 2021-07-21 06:15:07 +0000 UTCHello! Hope everyone is doing well. I'm midway through the "tickle sequence" for Brigitte's Gym. At over a minute long, this will basically become it's own "tickle short". It'll be up as an exclusive preview soon, but I wanted to share some of the progress, as well as a technique I came across for adding variation to "looped movements."

In this scene, Sombra has her hands wrapped to a bar, with Brigitte tickling her exposed armpits as encouragement.
They're probably sweaty, too. π³
Below I have some stuff for the animators, or anyone interested in the process.
When animated, we frequently use "mirror poses", I.E. animate one side, then mirror this animation to the other. This saves us a lot of effort, but we don't want both sides of the animation to play at the same time (it looks unnatural and robotic). So we need to add some variation to either side of the body.
This simple technique will allow you to add variation to looped movements, giving the animation more naturalism. Click Here to Download the Video Tutorial.

The tickling, the laughter, the faces Sombra makes, the soft music, the sound of her sweaty armpits being teases... It's fantastic and amazing and I'm so excited to see it!
