should be fine to share these here! yeah in case you missed it, I animated these for EVO that happened last week! was a cool opportunity as i've been watching EVO for eons now, so very happy to be able to do something for it in some way.

i don't think i can share much more as there was talk of some sort of behind the scenes video or article they wanted to make and wanted to wait to show any other concept art/animatic/etc for that, though i haven't heard much since.

i'd be lying if i said i was 100% happy with the outcome, as the deadline was quite tight so there was really only so much we could do. likewise there was a bit of miscommunication early on that didn't come to light until the animation was already basically done - i had thought it would be one single rock paper scissors match event with the 4 matches back to back and didn't know that the 4 matches were gonna be spread out hours apart. i def wouldve approached it differently had i known that, i apologize if you watched all of EVO and had to sit through that first 50 seconds of the toon 4 times 😭 so there was little bits of extra animation/art that was done for it that had to be scrapped once it was clear the 4 matches were now seperate. hopefully i can either share that in the behind the scenes video/article, or here later down the line if not.
