Alright everyone, it's DEFENDERS TIME! A pretty short show, so this will only take a month to get through. The first episode felt like a lovely little reunion with old friends.

I think it was a great way to kick off this series honestly. Felt like a nice catch up.

I love how the "sidekicks" all make appearances as well and the world building of all those seasons lets us care about them.

2025-07-21 12:22:13 +0000 UTCDidn't follow your Luke Cage or Iron Fist reactions as I have no desire to watch either show again, but I have been looking forward to The Defenders - it's not what I would call a great show, but it's *fun*. From what I remember, Danny is a lot more likeable in this than in Iron Fist, and the fight scenes are much better as well - IIRC they used Daredevil's stunt coordinators for all the choreography, rather than those who did the other shows.

2025-07-21 10:50:13 +0000 UTCI remember liking this series. Not LOVING it, but I did like it, mainly 'cause of seeing our characters come together and clash and work together. I liked it better than S1 of Iron Fist, but I didn't HATE Iron Fist either. It's just the one that I cared for the least. I did like S2 quite a bit though. I feel like time away will make me like things even more since that's what happened with rewatching Iron Fist S1, which I hadn't watched since it was originally dropped. I didn't remember about the different styles here in this first episode with the different characters, but I'd guess the different styles will blend when they all come together. I think I wasn't a big fan of the first season of Iron Fist because of Danny's characterization and how off-center he was. I'd always seen him in the comics being very calm and centered and thoughtful, but in his show, he was not and had anger issues. Like he wouldn't think before he acted most times.

2025-07-21 00:59:57 +0000 UTCAnd so it begins! I love how this first episode is almost like an epilogue for all four shows as well as an intro into this new story. So fun seeing all the supporting cast together in one show. Can't wait to see the Defenders form!
