iain has always been a incredible actor but this arc/season alone just proves how he's the best male actor on the show in my opinion. The scene where coulson is trying to calm him down after he just got of the framework is heartbreaking. Fitz was always gonna be one of the hardest to rescue because unlike everyone else here, his changes stemmed from his childhood. Where he's raised by his father here instead of his mother. Plus not only that aida replaced Jemma with herself in his life as she became obsessed with him its all very messed up taking away his free will like that. the scene with him and Jemma is also so painful they really put the two of them through it :(

The complexity of the human mind and the build of the framework with some darkhold influence makes it so real that anyone would fracture being plugged in for to long and unplugged without a proper method. I'm gonna say the Matrix had a lot to do with the writting of the framework story arc. I say newly built human Aida is probably self enhanced knowing how fragile humans are, with darkhold knowledge she knows she needs something to help her live and escape. Now the struggle of the real world dangers finding Fitz and Aida while keeping the framework alive to try and save Mack eventhough he might not want it. So many issues left to solve
