Oh I never picked up on the Bird thing either! That's cool.

kaiielle

Sometimes seeing someone else feel makes you feel the things too! Thanks for mentioning that, I'll have to look into it too!

kaiielle

Man, that's such a bummer. I'll have to look into what else she's done since this show.

kaiielle

Very valid to not love this one!

kaiielle

It does. 😭

kaiielle

That's such a shame.

kaiielle

Yes, the music gets really heckin' good at times!

kaiielle

We are def traveling around the world this season!

kaiielle

Hadn't watched these full episodes in years (watched a TON of reactions though), so there's a bunch of stuff I keep picking up on that I don't remember originally. Perhaps I noticed them but forgot or perhaps I never saw them, but this is cool catching little details. One of them was that Fitz kept calling Bobbie "Bird" on the coms and that's got to be an allusion to her comic book name, "Mockingbird." And yeah, Mack at the end never fails to break me. That music during the spy's goodbye does as much heavy lifting as the acting there.

Well I didnt realize how emotional the episode was till I watched it with someone else... Kl tears start... my tears start.... Bobbi's and Macks which I think were truly real tears dang it it felt so real to me too ! Season 3 Started in 2015/2016 around 2017 a show called The Orville started which co stars Adrianne Palicki so maybe it was fate or luck she got to star in another show after AoS as well. I havent watched that show yet but maybe i need to look into it.

Chris Elkins

Poor Adrienne Palicki, she had two big superhero show pilots (this and Wonder Woman) fail to get picked up.

Rish

It's a phenomenal title.

kaiielle

Ugh, not a fan of this episode. Obviously because of what happens in it, but also I 100% agree with you, it's written a bit muddled. Feels both slow and rushed at the same time. One reason ABC reneged on greenlighting Most Wanted after Bobbi and Hunter were already written out of AoS, is that Marvel Studios started being much more protective over how its IP was used. They wanted to shift it all in-house rather than have ABC and Netflix produce it. This was a little under two years before the whole Disney+ machine started rolling.

Onno Smits

It looks like many others have already answered your FUCKING WHY question...yeah...this one hurts.

Steve Mercier

Whoever came up with Parting Shot as this weeks episode title needs to be praised & beaten up in equal measures! The writers come up with so many great titles but this one is at the top of the list!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Dyrla

As others have mentioned Bobbi & Hunter were supposed to get their own spin-off, hence why they were written out. Originally, that was planned to happen at the end of S2 (which is what Bobbi's "I can't do this anymore" line was referencing), but some behind the scenes stuff delayed it until now. As to why the filmed pilot got cancelled - there was a change in leadership at ABC, and the new chair didn't want to proceed with new shows that their predecessor had green lit. They were also the cause of Agent Carter's cancellation

Such a sad episode ending but I still really enjoy it! The score is great during the Spy's Goodbye

Another inhuman this time from Russian. We are truly going everywhere. Fun fact that dark force he creates is also a form of zero matter from Agent Carter. There was going to be a spinoff with Bobbi and Hunter made by ABC called Marvel's Most wanted. They even filmed a pilot but it got cancelled before it could become anything. That is why this seemed so sudden. But this episode ending is a tearjerker. I have yet to see any reactor not feel something at the Mack scene. I understand what you mean about the pacing of this episode.

Christopher simeon

Something else I noticed is how the team took the news when Coulson told them that Bobbi and Hunter were disavowed. The way Daisy, Fitz, Simmons, and Mack all the took the news is understandable because they’re younger. It’s only natural that they would feel shocked and saddened by their departure. May has been in the agency for quite some time. She handled it the most mature. She immediately understood why they did what they did so much so that she didn’t break down like the others did but still gave BOTH of them a respectful nod. She always knew Bobbi had a fire in her, but it’s only now that Hunter has finally earned her lifelong respect.

Aldo Gonzales

Oh my god that's heartbreaking. 🥲

kaiielle

Why? I’ll answer that for you. Apparently Adrienne Palicki and Nick Blood were gonna star in their own Bobbi & Hunter spinoff called Marvel’s Most Wanted. The pilot was successful but it never even aired and they shelved the show. And by the way, that wasn’t just Mack crying over the spies’ goodbye. That was Henry Simmons saying goodbye to two co-stars he truly befriended off-camera.

*gasps in Maria Hill* Kaiielle said a bad language word!
